System purchased in 2002 and upgraded in early 2007, used for scanning Affymetrix GeneChip® arrays, this scanner is controlled by the GeneChip® Operating Software (GCOS)installed on the workstation, unit also comes
with the AFFYMETRIX® GENECHIP® HYBRIDIZATION OVEN 640, the AFFYMETRIX® GENECHIP® FLUIDICS STATION 450 and the computer workstation.
AFFYMETRIX® GENECHIP® HYBRIDIZATION OVEN 640 - used for hybridization in standard conditions of temperature and rotation speed of the Affymetrix® microarray, used for gene expression, the oven can process up to 64 arrays simultaneously.
AFFYMETRIX® GENECHIP® FLUIDICS STATION 450 - used for washing and labelling of the Affymetrix GeneChip® arrays, it contains four different modules individually controlled; in each of the modules can
be loaded up to 1 array and 3 Eppendorf tubes (1.5ml).
The workstation is a computer running all the required software for managing the instruments that comprise the Affymetrix Platform (Fluidics Station 450 and Scanner 3000 7G), comes with monitor and
acoustic speakers.
The Affymetrix® Platform is in perfect working order, and has been maintained by a certified company (Affymetrix®), with all service
documentation being readily available upon request.
