SER Sales Warranty:
Scientific Equipment Repair (SER) provides a 90-day warranty for all sold items, unless otherwise stated. This warranty expresses that the item will be fully-functional for a period of 90-days. If an item becomes non-functional during the 90-day timeframe from delivery, SER will assist with repair or provide a replacement if deemed necessary. A return and refund for the purchase price may be issued if SER decides repair or replacement is not viable.
Warranty claims are subject to SER approval. Warranty does not apply due to misuse or abuse, tampering, shipping damage, or lack of user knowledge. Buyer is responsible for gathering relevant documentation and training on proper usage. Damage caused from shipping neglect by the transport carrier must undergo a claims process and is not subject for an immediate return. Return shipping damage claims are the responsibility of the buyer.
Warranties for International sales may differ from sales within the United States and must be negotiated in advance.
SER Repairs Warranty:
Scientific Equipment Repair (SER) provides a 90-day warranty for all repaired items, unless otherwise stated. This warranty expresses that the components related to the repairs performed will be fully-functional for a period of 90-days. If the repaired component continues to malfunction during the 90-day warranty period, SER will assist/perform further repair work covered under warranty. SER must first verify the component is continuing to malfunction under proper operating scenarios before approving of any covered warranty repair work. Any unrelated issues that occur with the equipment are not covered by the repair warranty. SER reserves the right to allow or deny warranty claims for repair work based on our assessment of an issue being related or unrelated to the original repair work performed.
It is the customers responsibility to provide full and accurate information regarding the nature of the issues present and under what conditions the issues occur. This includes what accessories or consumables are being used, and what functions are being performed. If SER determines the customer has withheld or not provided necessary information relevant to operational validation of their equipment, we reserve the right to assess additional service fees for further evaluations or repairs that may take place.
SER Return Policy/Suitability:
Scientific Equipment Repair (SER) does not take responsibility for the suitability of any purchased equipment to fit a Buyer's particular application. The Buyer's requirements are their sole responsibility and any research and/or questioning is assumed to have taken place by the Buyer or Buyer's entity prior to a transaction. SER will attempt to assist the Buyer in product selection, however, SER assumes no responsibility for improper product selection. Purchase indicates that the Buyer understands what an instrument can or cannot accomplish, what a sale or listing includes or does not include, and that the instrument will properly integrate into their application. In the case that SER allows a return due to improper product selection a restocking fee of 20% of the original sale price will be assessed. Refunds will not be provided if the returned item sustains shipping damage either due to poor packaging and/or mistreatment in transit by the carrier. Buyer is responsible for all return costs and is responsible for any shipping damage claims.
